In 2025, The Whale’s Tail Clam Bar is proud to return for it's 5th season at Pier 3!
The Whale's Tail was an idea Steve had as a young man growing up in New Bedford where he worked on scallopers during high school and college. He quickly fell in love with the fishing industry, and when he started Servedwell Hospitality in 2018, he knew there had to be a Clam Bar in the mix.
The vision for the Whale’s Tail is an old school “shack” serving fresh, locally caught seafood in a casual, laid back waterfront environment. It’s a place that is fun and cool, where locals can gather and get a taste for the fishing industry.
Steve’s son Will, the 5th generation of Silversteins in business in New Bedford, is now overseeing operations at The Whale’s Tail.
Will, like his dad, fell in love with both restaurants and fishing.
